3 Nights in Kurseong

Your journey begins at NJP, where our team will receive you for a scenic two-hour ride to the peaceful hills of Kurseong (45 km).

After a brief period of rest at the hotel, you will be taken to the Dow Hill forest. This is a site known for eerie and haunted experiences. You'll also see the front of the Victoria Boys School, a colonial building much talked about in ghost stories (view from outside only).

Evening is free. Enjoy locally prepared Darjeeling tea at Cochrane Place while the sun sets below the clouds.

Your second day will start with the world-famous Makaibari Tea Estate. Here, you can have a first-hand glance at the plantations and possibly have a fresh brew of tea for yourself as well.

In the afternoon, we travel back in time. Join us for a heritage walk through the old British-era Kurseong Cemetery, where moss-covered gravestones and pine-scented atmosphere create a strangely soothing ambiance.

After lunch, participate in a special Lepcha oral history session. You'll hear age-old stories and legends passed down over the generations, stories that tell of mountains, spirits, and coexistence with nature.

For those with an interest in national history, there is an optional tour of the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Museum in the home in which he once lived under house arrest.

On your final morning, be sure to go to the Kurseong town bazaar. It’s the perfect place to pick up small souvenirs for friends and family back home. Handmade craft items, organic tea, and hill-style specialty snacks are a few possibilities.

After breakfast, we’ll drive you back to NJP station for your return journey . From there, the journey is yours to return.
