3 Nights in Kalimpong to Rishop

Your tour begins with a twisting drive from New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Kalimpong, a hill station from colonial days that mixes mountain tranquillity with colonial sophistication. Post check-in, we'll get you to Delo Hill, a wide ridge famous for its windy gardens and sky-high views of Kanchenjunga on clear skies.

Then, head to the Kalimpong Cactus Nursery, which has some of Asia's best collections of succulent exotics. Afternoon, take a visit to the Zang Dhok Palri Monastery, famous for its holy Tibetan books and serene hilltop location.

End the day at Durpin Dara Viewpoint with a sky set ablaze in colours of fire and mist.

After breakfast, drive to Loleygaon, a small forest village steeped in ferns, orchids , and birdsong. The highlight of Loleygaon is its forest canopy walk, a series of sky bridges strung between towering trees, offering a peaceful yet exciting stroll through pristine woodland.

Later, enjoy some quiet time at Loleygaon Eco Park, which is ideal for short strolls and forest photography. As the sun dips low, your evening will be spent at a warm homestay, where a bonfire and a home-cooked dinner await.

Time to bid adieu to Loleygaon. On the way, we halt for a bit in Rishop, a small village on a ridge. This is heaven, literally. You will find the mountain very close to you. It feels like you can almost touch the clouds.

After lunch, take a leisurely hike to Tiffindara Viewpoint, the highest point around, offering sweeping views of the Kanchenjunga range, Nathula, and beyond. No traffic. No noise. Just pure, meditative quiet.

Evening is for yourself. You can spend your own time by reading a book, sip on warm tea, or just enjoy a star-filled Himalayan night.

After breakfast, it’s time to make your way back to NJP. Retake monastery stories, memory lanes of forest roads, and that timeless quietude of mountains.
