Mythical Trails to Sri Krishna’s Shores
Start your day with something that relaxes your mind, a boat ride to Bet Dwarka is what we have in plan! It is believed that this site is the birthplace of Sri Krishna, thus you would be able to experience the peaceful atmosphere on this sacred island with chants and hymns on his name. As you return, visit one of India’s 12 Jyotirlinga site, The Nageshwar Jyotirlinga is known to be a powerful pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Shiva. As sundown hits, visit the calm and peaceful Gopi Talav and learn more about the stories that revolve around Krishna & the Gopis.
Dwarka to Somanath via Porbandar
Sleep well, eat well and get up early! A coastal ride to Somnath is next on your itinerary, you would be stopping at Porbandar to visit the spiritual Kirti Mandir, the Birthplace of Mahatma ‘Bapu’ Gandhi Ji! As you arrive at Somnath by the afternoon and check in to your hotel you will still have a lot to discover! You would be able to witness the beautiful light and sound show at night, marking a perfect end to your day!
The Triveni Sangam – The Merger of the Three
Triveni Sangam, the site where Hiran, Kapila & Saraswati merge together and this special merger offers a site which is said to offer spiritual moksh to people who meditate and take a dip here. Visit the Bhalka Tirth site where Sri Krishna is said to have departed from this earthly life as a human being. The Prahbas Patan Museum at Somnath is an important site as well! Visit it if you are looking for more cultural understanding.
