Talk to an ExpertGangtok offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, and some must-visit attractions include Tsomgo Lake, Nathula Pass, Rumtek Monastery, and the Gangtok Ropeway. In Darjeeling, don't miss the sunrise at Tiger Hill, the picturesque Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, and the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train).
The best time to visit Gangtok and Darjeeling is during the spring and autumn months (March to May and September to November). The weather is pleasant, and the skies are clear, offering ideal conditions for sightseeing and enjoying outdoor activities. Avoid the monsoon season (June to August) due to heavy rainfall and potential landslides.
