Full Day Sightseeing in Gangtok
On your second day in Gangtok, get ready for a full day of exploration! Start with the stunning Bakthang Waterfall, where you can feel the rush of cascading water. Then, head to Tashi Viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After that, visit the serene Ganesh Tok and the enchanting Enchey Monastery for a dose of spirituality. Next, explore the intricacies of handicrafts at the Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom and visit the Do Drul Chorten. Dive into Tibetan culture at the Institute of Tibetology before ending your day with a thrilling ride on the Ropeway and a visit to the picturesque Banjhakri Falls.
Visit to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
On the third day of your Gangtok tour, wake up early at 8 am for a full day adventure. Start by visiting Tsomgo Lake, nestled amidst towering mountains at 12,400 ft. After a scenic 3-hour drive, immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of this sacred lake, perfect for capturing timeless memories. Next, pay homage to the revered Indian Army soldier, Captain Harbhajan Singh, at Baba Harbhajan Mandir, located at 4000m altitude. Reflect on his remarkable story before returning to your hotel for a delicious meal and a well-deserved rest, gearing up for your departure the next day.
Transfer to NJP
On your last day in Gangtok, enjoy the last breakfast of the trip before checking out. Get ready for your journey back home. Transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport based on your travel schedule. Board your flight with fond memories of Gangtok. Both Gangtok and Darjeeling are well-connected to major cities. To reach Gangtok, you can fly to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) near Siliguri, West Bengal, and then take a 4-5 hour scenic drive to Gangtok. Alternatively, you can reach New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) and then take a taxi or shared jeep to Gangtok. For Darjeeling, you can follow the same route to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and then take a 3-4 hour drive to Darjeeling.
