Forts, Forests & Rivers: Buxa Fort + Jayanti Day Tour

Today's destination brings you deeper into the thick green splendour of Dooars. Begin with the ancient Buxa Fort, which used to be a British detention camp, now a serene location with jungle scenery. Have a light trek or a stroll along the Jayanti River and bask in the virgin natural landscape. For those who are ready to hike a bit higher, there is no better alternative than the Lepchakha trek, a brief ascent on foot to a vantage point that provides a breathtaking panorama of Bhutan's foothills and Dooars' plains.
